Jammers will know that Jamaa consists of several different areas. One of those areas is called Balloosh, and is located at the top left corner of the world map. Balloosh resembles a swamp, but has a more mysterious theme. It is the area where the Ancient Heartstone first originated.

Balloosh was first added as an area into Animal Jam on February 15, 2018. This makes this area quite new to the game. It links to two different locations; Mt Shiveer by crossing a bridge, and Appondale by walking down a pathway. Let’s take a look at what we can find in Balloosh.
Attractions
Balloosh has several different attractions that you can visit. Firstly, you can find the Temple of the Ancients here, which is one of more mysterious attractions. In it, you can find tablets that contain information about extinct animals. You can also find two shops within the temple, but more on that later.
Shops
There are a total of three shops in Balloosh, which is quite a lot for such a small area. In these three shops, you can find different kinds of ancient items. Let’s take a closer look at the shops.
Ancient Armory
The Ancient Armory is located within the Temple of the Ancients. Simply walk up the stairs and click on the statue. The Ancient Armory currently has two sets of armor for sale; The Ancient Armor and Juno’s Armor Set. Both of these sets can be purchased with Diamonds. However, it should be noted that these items are only accessible by Animal Jam members. Examples of the Ancient armor and Juno’s Armor set can be seen in the pictures below.
Ancient Treasures
Another shop that you can find in the Temple of the Ancients is the Ancient Treasures. In this shop, you can purchase different Juno themed den items. These items can only be bought with Diamonds. Below, you can see two examples of Juno themed den items for sale.
Ancient Antiquities
Walking down the pathway in Balloosh will bring you to Ancient Antiquities, which is the only shop that is not located in the Temple of the Ancients. In this shop, you can buy den items that resemble fossils, which matches the whole ancient theme of Balloosh and the temple.
Games
Usually, the areas in Jamaa have different games you can play. However, this is not the case in Balloosh. There are currently no games that you can play in this area. Perhaps AJHQ will add a game or two, which would definitely increase the popularity of the area.
Trivia
Animal Jam Classic
Did you know that Balloosh is the only area that has not yet been released on Play Wild? That is not out of the ordinary, however. This area is quite new, especially when you compare it to some of the other areas in the game. No doubt that we will be able to find Balloosh on PW very soon.
